Accelerated Reader

• Accelerated Reader motivates students to read more through engaging quizzes, goal setting, and personalized recommendations. As students increase their reading volume, they develop greater reading stamina, word recognition, and language comprehension skills.

Assessments 

To assist our students, we currently utilize researched-based Star Assessments as both a screening and progress monitoring tool to help identify and prioritize student need, drive appropriate instructions, set realistic goals, and track progress throughout the year to ensure all students are on the right path toward future success.

Star Reading (Grades K-12th)​

​​

• Star Reading measures students’ knowledge and understanding of vocabulary, as well as their ability to apply vocabulary strategies. 

​

Star Math (Grades K-12th)

​

• ​Star Math (Numbers) measures students' ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. It also covers primes, square roots, percents, and numerical expressions.

​

• Star Math (Algebra) asks students to graph points and functions, evaluate variables, solve linear and nonlinear equations, simplify expressions, and complete other key algebraic tasks.

​

• Star Math (Geometry) measures students' ability to identify shapes, lines, and angles; determine and convert measurements; tell time; calculate the perimeter, area, volume, and surface area of shapes; and determine missing measurements or dimensions.

Star Early Literacy (Pre-K-3rd)

• Star Literacy assesses skills such as phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, and comprehension. ​​
